About the 50/90 Challenge

This is a group whose purpose is to challenge members to write 50 songs in 90 days. Between July 4 and October 1 of any year, in the company of others, you can engage in some harmless songwriting mayhem. The prize is the pride in writing songs that may never have been written otherwise. Come on and give it a go!
FAWM stands for February Album Writing Month, an annual songwriting challenge begun in 2004 (independently) with a similar goal: to encourage folks to write 14 songs in the 28 days of February (thus roughly at the same pace). This year, FAWM is donating the website infrastructure it has built over the years to the 50/90 challenge as well, in hopes of encouraging more folks to take up the call of "harmless musical meyhem."
